Mit diesem USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C™ Hub kannst du bis zu 3 Bildschirme an deinem Computer und zahlreiche Peripherie-Geräte betreiben. Zugleich ist die Stromversorgung über USB-C PD 3.0 mit bis zu 100W möglich. Man kann also zugleich am Computer arbeiten und diesen Laden - dafür genügt ein einziger USB-C™-Anschluss. Der Anschluss an deinem Computer muss dazu den  USB-C Alternate Mode (Alt Mode, mehr Infos weiter unten) unterstützen. Die Docking Station ist kompatibel zu Windows, MacOS und Android/Chromebook und erfordert keine Treiberinstallation. Bitte beachte dass die verschiedenen Betriebssysteme unterschiedlich mit mehreren Monitoren umgehen. 

Unterstützung für Mehrere Displays

Unter Windows können 3 Displays dargestellt werden. Schließt man also einen Laptop über die Docking Station an 3 externe Monitore, schaltet sich das vierte Display am Laptop aus. Man kann einstellen, ob die Anzeige gespiegelt werden soll. Oder einen extended Desktop verwenden, so dass alle 3 Monitore einen anderen Bereich anzeigen.

Unter MacOS zeigen alle externen Monitore dasselbe Bild. Man hat also mit einem MacBook entweder einen extended Desktop mit 2 Ansichten - das interne Display sowie die externen Monitore. Oder die Ansicht wird gespiegelt und auf allen Displays dasselbe angezeigt.  

Hochauflösende Videoausgabe bis 4K 60Hz

Mit der Docking Station kannst du die in deinem Laptop integrierten Videofunktionen nutzen, um Ultra HD Videos an ein 4K-Display zu übertragen. Außerdem ist die Docking Station abwärtskompatibel mit 1080p-Displays. Bitte beachte, dass andere Videoauflösung nicht unterstützt werden und daher nur 16:9 Bildschirme sinnvoll betrieben werden können.

Umfassende Anschlussmöglichkeiten

Die Docking Station bietet zwei USB 3.0-Anschlüsse, einen USB-C-Anschluss (nur Daten), einen USB 2.0-Anschluss, einen 3,5 mm Stereo-Audioausgang, sowie Gigabit Ethernet, SD- und TF-Kartensteckplätze. Alle Anschlüsse sind Plug and Play, es ist keine zusätzliche Softwareinstallation notwendig.

Leistungsstarke Stromversorgung

Mit einer Stromversorgungskapazität von bis zu 100W nach PD 3.0 Standard ermöglicht die Docking Station gleichzeitiges Arbeiten und Laden deines Laptops. Der Gigabit Ethernet-Anschluss unterstützt 10/100/1000Mbps für schnelle Internetverbindungen.

Kompatibilität und Design

Die Docking Station ist kompatibel mit Thunderbolt™ 3 und DP1.4 Alt Mode. Sie hat ein kompaktes Design aus hochwertiger Aluminiumlegierung und ABS, wodurch sie sich ideal für den Einsatz im Home Office und unterwegs eignet. Die Abmessungen sind 284x80x16 mm bei einem Gewicht von 250g.

Woher weiß ich, ob mein Computer den USB-C Alternate Mode unterstützt?

Voraussetzung für die Videoausgabe über diesen Hub ist die Computer-Unterstützung des USB-C Alternate Mode, auch DisplayPort Alt Mode genannt und kompatibel zu Thunderbolt 3. Viele Windows-Computer, die den Alt Mode unterstützen, haben neben einer der USB-C Buchsen ein kleines Logo mit einem D (steht für DisplayPort). Ein Blitzsymbol neben der USB-C Buchse kann auf Thunderbolt hinweisen, das unterstützt den Modus ebenso. Schaue im Zweifel auf der Website des Computer-Herstellers oder bei DisplayPort oder Thunderbolt nach.

MacBooks unterstützen seit 2019 den Modus und haben keine Kennzeichnung an der USB-C Buchse. Auch neuere Generation von Macs, einschließlich des iMac Pro, iMac 2017, Mac Mini 2018, MacBook Air 2018 und aller MacBook Pros, die ab 2016 auf den Markt kamen, unterstützen USB-C Thunderbolt 3-Anschlüsse.

I can't say I hate it, there's much worse out there. Hence I'd call this the bottom line, lowest standard.

6 years of support, but set your expectations.

I was a Moto user. Before moving over to Android, I was among the 0% that used a Windows Phone. My needs have been modest, so the idea of shelling out nearly a thousand or more for a phone never crossed my mind. What is important is ongoing support, which rules out every cat-sat-on-a-keyboard brand. It’s also the reason why I switched from Moto over to Samsung; offering 6 years of OS and security support (from initial release) on an entry-level class device is a HUGE PLUS. In the case of this A17, that’s all the way into August 2031. This is NOT a fast phone by any means, however. Playing media and general browsing? Sure. Playing video? Fine. Lots of videos at once like on some social media platforms? Not so much. Taking videos? It's only 1080p. More immersive games? I wouldn’t bother. Between the processor and the 4GB of RAM, some patience will be necessary, especially for folks running lots of apps. There is more underlying “bloat” here; turning off the animations under developer mode along with unneeded services improves the experience a bit, however. The A17 phone case I purchased separately for this arrived labeled as an A26; the glass screen protector as an A16, so apparently this phone shares a very similar design with those models. No 3.5mm jack but there is a micro SD slot which it shares with the SIM tray. The AMOLED screen is a huge plus; great contrast and sharpness, which is NOT common in this entry-level class. It does have NFC for tap to pay, but no wireless charging. Will this win any benchmarks? No. Folks expecting sports car performance at an economy car price will be extremely disappointed. This does not nor will not compare to phones that cost more. However, if your needs are modest, there’s no need to spend $$$ either when this will do the job. --- Edit: Just for added confirmation about ongoing support (or lack thereof), the Moto G17 that was just released at the end of January 2026 does NOT promise ANY OS updates at all. That's a stark contrast to the A17 here with a promise of 6 years of OS and security updates. Edit 2: Wireless Android Auto connectivity has become tedious with the aftermarket generic Android head unit on my vehicle, with the phone often forgetting to connect. The real culprit is that those units are often running hardware and an OS older than what they advertise; it may say 15 on the surface but underneath, it's actually running like 10 or even older. Getting a USB wired-to-wireless CarPlay/Android Auto adapter fixed that; the phone has remembered to connect every time since. For less than $10, it was worth taking that chance.
