With 350 lumens on tap, a battery level indicator, and a red-light mode to help preserve your night vision, it’s set up for practical use in changing conditions. Like the rest of the Scout 3 series, it uses Silva’s hybrid technology: the battery compartment fits both Silva’s rechargeable Hybrid Battery (sold separately) and standard AAA batteries. Three AAA batteries are included.

Scout 3XT also features Silva Intelligent Light — a combination of a focused beam for distance and a wide beam for close-up work. The idea is simple: you see both what’s ahead and what’s right in front of you without constantly moving your head, which helps with balance and confidence when the terrain (or shoreline) gets awkward.

It’s designed to be easy to handle when conditions are cold, wet, or you’re wearing gloves. The large on/off button is straightforward, and the headlamp is rated IPX5 for water resistance. Low weight and a wide, partly rubberised headband keep it stable and comfortable when you’re moving for hours.
