Doch der Test endet in einem Desaster. Teile der Rakete lösen sich und der mit Napalm bewaffnete Kopf treibt unkontrollierbar ab. Dem ehemaligen Piloten und Starreporter Pit Nordfors gelingt es, die skandalösen Hintergründe des Fehlstarts aufzudecken. Doch die Conti Press zieht seinen Artikel zurück, da sich herausstellt, dass die CBA Großaktionär des Zeitungskonzerns ist. Nordfors bekommt bald die Gelegenheit, die Mächtigen mit ihren eigenen Waffen zu schlagen.

Schatten über Notre Dame:
Eines Abends macht der Kriminalreporter Jaques Batissier die Bekanntschaft eines betrunkenen Fremden, der ihm seine Version über den Mord an dem antifaschistischen Verleger Sonelli erzählt. Bei der Untersuchung des Falles durch Kriminalkommissar Rochambeaux erweist sich die Darstellung des Unbekannten als exakte Schilderung der Tatumstände, die nur der Mörder gewusst haben kann. Auf der Jagd nach einer guten Story kommt Batissier der mächtigen faschistischen Geheimorganisation "Cagoulard" auf die Spur.

Beautiful quality. Deep thick fur. The "patches" are noting more than where 4 or 5 inch splits, one at each end were stitched back together. I wouldn't have even called them patches. They are the same stitching as used to join the two pelts in the middle. The color is a very clean white. Being natural pelt, I was really expecting something a little more blond. I've bought New Zealand sheepskin several times before and I don't doubt this is Aussie or Kiwi sheepskin but I didn't notice this is processed in China before I bought it. Still, the only complaint I had was a strange chemical smell when I unwrapped it. It didn't smell like the tanning chemicals from previous pelts. But it's gone away after 3 weeks so I guess all's good.
