VRLA steht für "Valve Regulated Lead Acid", was bedeutet, dass diese Batterien über ein Ventil reguliert sind. Dies ermöglicht es, dass eventuell entstehende Gase durch Sicherheitsventile entweichen können, was die Batterien extrem auslaufsicher macht und ihnen erlaubt, in jeder Position verwendet zu werden. Zudem sind sie völlig wartungsfrei.

Diese verschlossenen GEL-Batterien enthalten den Elektrolyten in einem Gel, das aus Silikaten besteht. Diese Bauweise führt zu einer längeren Lebensdauer und macht die Batterien besonders geeignet für Anwendungen mit regelmäßigen Lade- und Entladezyklen. Allerdings kann ihre effektive Kapazität bei hohen Entladeströmen geringer ausfallen. Dennoch zeigen sie sowohl im Standby-Betrieb als auch bei zyklischer Nutzung eine beachtliche Langlebigkeit.

Ein weiterer Vorteil der Victron VRLA Batterien ist ihre niedrige Selbstentladerate, die unter 2% pro Monat bei 20°C liegt. Diese Rate verdoppelt sich mit jedem Temperaturanstieg um 10°C. Unter kühlen Bedingungen können die Batterien bis zu einem Jahr ohne Notwendigkeit einer Zwischenaufladung gelagert werden.

Victron Batterien weisen außerdem eine ausgezeichnete Leistungsfähigkeit nach Tiefentladungen auf, wobei zu beachten ist, dass häufige und anhaltende Tiefentladungen dennoch zu irreversiblen Schäden führen können.

Die angegebene Nennkapazität basiert auf einer Entladungszeit von 20 Stunden, d.h., auf einen Entladestrom von 0,1 C. Ein geringerer Entladestrom resultiert in einer höheren effektiven Kapazität, während ein höherer Entladestrom sie reduziert, wie in den Datenblättern tabellarisch dargestellt.

A familiar story, just with…..less.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
