Its air-cushioned feature protects your equipment by slowly lowering the the risers if the locks become untightened. The stand is made of lightweight, high strength aluminum topped with a 5/8" stud with a 3/8"-16 male thread. When collapsed, the stand is 50.5" long and weighs 5 pounds.
