Australian aboriginal people have lived in harmony with the earth for perhaps as long as 100,000 years; in their words, since the First Day. In this absorbing work, Lawlor explores the essence of their culture as a source of and guide to transforming our own world view. While not romanticizing the past or suggesting a return to the life of the hunter/gatherer, Voices of the First Day enables us to enter into the mentality of the oldest continuous culture on earth and gain insight into our own relationship with the earth and to each other.

This book offers an opportunity to suspend our values, prejudices, and Eurocentrism and step into the Dreaming to discover:

- A people who rejected agriculture, architecture, writing, clothing, and the subjugation of animals

- A lifestyle of hunting and gathering that provided abundant food of unsurpassed nutritional value

- Initiatic and ritual practices that hold the origins of all esoteric, yogic, magical, and shamanistic traditions

- A sexual and emotional life that afforded diversity and fluidity as well as marital and social stability

- A people who valued kinship, community, and the law of the Dreamtime as their greatest possessions.

- Language whose richness of structure and vocabulary reveals new worlds of perception and comprehension.

- A people balanced between the Dreaming and the perceivable world, in harmony with all species and living each day as the First Day.

Voices of the First Day is illustrated throughout with more than 100 extraordinary photographs, bark paintings, line drawings and engravings. Many of these photographs are among the earliest ever made of the Aboriginal people and are shown here for the first time.

Super cute and soft!
Size: 3T, Color: Light Mauve
Daughter fits very well in this pink pullover sweater. It’s true to size very pleased with the make of the sweater, it’s made very well very soft, is medium thickness and is warm for my daughter to wear in NY’s cool fall weather and now winter with a coat of course. Also is not to thick where wearing a coat could be an issue. Great value for your money in the product you are getting it washes well and stains come out easily sometimes with a little help. Great buy must have!

Extremely soft and warm!!
Size: 2T, Color: Bright Pink
This is a really nice thick toddler hoodie! I bought the dark pink in a size 2t for my 25 month old daughter. She weighs 28 pounds. It is a great fit and also has a little wiggle room. The hoodie is extremely soft and comfortable. Keeps her toasty warm. Holds up in the wash, no shrinking. Came packaged well, no funky smell, arrived on time. Overall a great purchase

runs small
Size: XX-Large, Color: Black
This hoodie is cute, cozy, and apparently designed for a child who has never met a growth spurt. It runs really small, like “did I accidentally order doll clothes?” small. The fabric feels nice and soft though, and right out of the package it looked well made and sturd... no loose threads or sketchy seams. Just definitely size up unless you’re planning for a very snug, fashion-forward moment. I bought this hoodie specifically to add a vinyl decal, and for that purpose it worked great. The material took the vinyl nicely, pressed well, and didn’t scorch or warp, which is always a relief when you’re hovering over a heat press like a nervous parent. It also washes nicely and still looks good after laundering… though it did shrink a little, which did not help its already petite situation. the material is thick and nice weight. Pros: good quality fabric, soft and comfy, great surface for vinyl decals, washes well. Cons: runs very small, shrinks a bit after washing, value is average unless you size up. Overall, it’s a nice little hoodie that does the job—as long as you order with future growth (and laundry shrinkage) firmly in mind.

Children's outerwear, a must have .. excellent quality, fit & price!
Size: X-Small, Color: White
One of the very best pull over sweatshirts I've come across. Quality fabric with an amazing cut & fit that rises above the standard, more boxy cut of children's sweatshirts I've purchased in the past. With an 8 year old granddaughter that's constantly on the go & is never cold lol, I needed a piece of outerwear that wasn't too thick, bulky or restrictive that she'd forget she was wearing. A piece of clothing that would keep her warm yet comfortable, thru out her day & boy did I hit the jackpot. All of the above plus an overall amazing fit & stylish look I wasn't expecting but could tell she absolutely loved. An added bonus, after at least 15 or more washes to-date, it still looks & fits as good as it did the very first time she wore it. I've since purchased other similar items but none compare. An excellent buy !!!!
