This collection of eleven short pieces for piano is based on sonorities of the works of Erik Satie, specially the ÒSports et DivertissementsÓ. Every piece represents a different element or thing, like a hole or crack (ÒSimaÓ), the dawn (ÒAmanecerÓ), the Madrid dance called ÒChotisÓ, a wild blues (ÒCannibal BluesÓ), a very light textile (ÒTulÓ), a ferris wheel (ÒNoriaÓ), a small character of a tale (ÒGnomoÓ), the murmur of a river ("Rumor"), or a butterfly flying (ÒMariposaÓ). The suite starts with a short "Prelude" that is varied a little time after ("Variaci—n"). It was my first work for piano, inaugurating my catalog, and was written in 1997.
