Class 50 - Large Logo w/grey roof - 50046 'Ajax' - DCC SoundThe mighty Ajax, the son of Telamon, second only to Achilles in the Greek warrior hierarchy, equal of Trojan champion Hector and also the most famous Class 50 that got away, being scrapped at MC Metals, Glasgow, in June 1992. The mighty Ajax, the son of Telamon, second only to Achilles in the Greek warrior hierarchy, equal of Trojan champion Hector and also the most famous Class 50 that ‘got away’, being scrapped at MC Metals, Glasgow, in June 1992. It had donated its low hours power unit to 50007 in December 1991, around five weeks after working its last train, after Sir Edward Elgar had been sidelined with a main generator flashover near Basingstoke in July of the same year. Rewinding to happier days, Laira-based 50046 had been dedicated in October 1978 after the Leander-class Frigate built in 1962. It was invited to Doncaster Works exactly four years later to take part in the refurbishment programme, being outshopped in large logo livery the following March, and arguably never looked better. Two years later in April 1985 it again received the attention of the painters, this time care of its Plymouth home, ahead of its twinning ceremony with HMS Ajax which would see it gain the smaller version of the ship’s crests. Despite their recent heavy overhaul, the four roof exhausts of the English Electric design were notorious for quickly turning the standard Rail grey roof filthy, leading the depot to effectively give up and paint the roof black to hide the oily deposits. 50046 was only the second to be so treated after 50042 Triumph, although the latter was quickly returned to grey following a visit to the ‘Plant’. Laira gave it a full repaint again in May 1987 following an F exam, although it notably did not receive the red bufferbeams that were applied to similar makeovers from the start of 1986. Over the next few years it would be allocated to the parcels and departmental sectors as well as NSE’s Thames and West of England passenger pools before it was officially retired in March 1992. Notably, both cabs survive, the No.1 end with owner Gary Hardings in Cornwall and the No.2 end at the Plym Valley Railway in Devon.

Epic. Works great.
Color: Black
Works great every day. Super powerful and smooth compared to my old battery powered one. The shaft is much thicker and is more securely positioned so I can't imagine it becoming tweaked off balance like my old one. And it comes with an extra mixer attachment! I imagine I've put that away for a long time, but we'll see. Easy to turn on and off with one hand, but I can imagine it being less easy than a simple push button for someone with decreased thumb dexterity or mobility. I do wish the lowest speed was slightly lower, but it hasn't caused any splashing or other detriment. The speed adjustment is very smooth and power is abundant. Love the stand, Usb c charge port is solid, battery life is excellent.

You want this one, for power and quality and saving on AA battery costs
Color: Black
Yes. You want this one, for power and quality and saving on AA battery costs — buy it now. Don’t waste any more time comparing products. After hours, days, weeks, of researching and comparing, I ordered this one. I do not regret it. It is powerful. It was less than $25 when I bought it. It has a USB charger port and it feels solid in your hand. It has a turn-knob at the top to control the variable speed immersion blender aka milk frother aka wand frother. Charge battery fully for 2hrs before first use and then you’re all set. It works very well. It functioned as expected and then even better. Yes. It exceeded expectations. I hope it lasts a long time. It feels like it is very well made and high quality. Classiest and best wand frother I have ever owned. And I’ve owned over 3-4 in the past 10yrs. I got this one at $25 instead of the highest-rated one for $9.99 because those require AA batteries and this frother however is USB-C rechargeable! So in 1-2 years it will have paid for itself in battery costs alone. But there’s no price I can put on how enjoyable it is to use this super powerful, super smooth, high quality, wand frother.

Quality Design
Color: Gray
Excellent frother/mixer Pros: - Quality feels premium. - Plenty of power to mix even with a drink packed with ice and peanut butter. Basically a mini handheld mixer. - Ease of use is great. I appreciated that this had a longer brother so I can mix drinks in taller cups. Also the grip is fantastic and it is easy very easy to change the speed with just one hand so you can hold the drink with the other. Longevity - So far it's been holding up and hasn't needed a battery replacement. Cons: None so far.

Highly recommend!
Color: Gray
Love this frother!!! Purchased to replace an Aerolatte that stopped working after a reasonable period of use. Right out of the box, it was charged and ready to go. I’ve been using it daily for about 5 weeks on the same charge it had on arrival and it’s still going strong. Love the variable speed and easy to work with one hand. And this baby can froth! It froths far better than our old Aerolatte. Also love the rechargeable feature so no more AA batteries wasted. This handy kitchen tool makes my morning coffee a true highlight. Highly recommend the Maestri milk frother!

Best Frother Ever!
Color: Black
Great little frother and very powerful after just one charge. I haven’t charged it since the first day and it is still going strong after 3 weeks. I use it daily for coffee froth, but have used it for mixing other things as well. It works great on mixing drink powders into water and for making salad dressing from scratch. It’s one of the best things I’ve purchased on Amazon for kitchen tools. My old frother ate through batteries and was 1/10th as powerful. This one really is amazing. Great quality heavy duty but still small machine. Extra attachment heads are also a bonus.
