This special edition of Dunkirk, Operation ÒDynamoÓ 26th May Ð 4th June 1940, An Epic of Gallantry, publishes the now declassified Battle Summary No 41, a document once classified as 'Restricted' and produced in small numbers only for official government purposes. This Summary, The Evacuation from Dunkirk, lodged in the archive at Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, is one of the very few surviving copies in existence and records events in minute detail, being written soon after the evacuation using the words of the naval officers involved. This makes it a unique record and a primary source for the history of Operation ÒDynamoÓ from mid-May 1940 until its conclusion on 4th June. The original document has been supplemented in this title by a Foreword written by Admiral Sir James Burnell-Nugent, formerly the Royal Navy's Commander-in-Chief, Fleet, whose father commanded one of the destroyers sunk off Dunkirk when rescuing troops. In addition, there is a modern historical introduction and commentary, putting the evacuation into context and this edition is enhanced by the inclusion of a large number of previously unpublished photographs of the beaches, town, and harbour of Dunkirk taken immediately after the conclusion of the operation, together with others illustrating many of the ships that took part.

The successful evacuation of the British Expeditionary Force from Belgium and northern France through the port of Dunkirk and across adjacent beaches is rightly regarded as one of the most significant episodes in the nationÕs long history, although Winston Churchill sagely cautioned in Parliament on 4th June that the country Òmust be careful not to assign to this deliverance the attributes of a victory. Wars are not won by evacuationsÓ. Nevertheless, the Dunkirk evacuation, Operation ÒDynamoÓ, was a victory and, like many others before it, it was a victory of sea power. The Royal Navy achieved what it set out to do, despite grievous losses, in the teeth of determined opposition. It denied an aggressive and ruthless continental power a potentially war-winning total victory that could have changed the direction of civilization for generations to come. The loss of the main British field army would have enfeebled the nation militarily and psychologically, prompting political upheaval, potentially resulting in a negotiated peace with Nazi Germany on unfavourable terms dictated by Adolf Hitler.

Blends nicely, is not greasy.

Light, blends nicely into skin. Does a good job of blocking the sun. I will buy it again before the summer is over.

Feels like nothing!
Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Fantastic! I never write reviews but this is incredible. Just as advertised it dries quickly, doesn’t feel oily and doesn’t leave marks. And the coverage is no joke in this AZ sun! Held up during Memorial Day weekend at the pool all day. Excellent all around!

Works for me, feels gentle, a few trade offs versus this brands spf 100
Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I just got this yesterday so I’ve used it for half the day yesterday and half the day today so far. I think its much more moisturizing and heavy then say a standard Korean sunscreen which is what i usually use. I also have used this brands spf 100 lotion which i love. This one feels nice, very similar to the spf 100 but doesnt burn my eyes. It’s a bit harder to rub in then their spf 100, a bit thicker but its a bit less oily. It feels gentle to me, i have sensitive skin, eczema, and acne and i like it so far. I have to rub it in twice though, first to apply then again to break up the settled stuff around my nose and eyes. If you have a lot of lines in your face this might not be a good fit, id go for the spf 100 from la roche-posay. But the trade off is this one is less oily, and the other is more oily. This one is fine around my eyes, the other can burn. So it’s up to you really.

the perfect outdoor solution & very well priced
Color: Lake Blue
This is a beautiful & sturdy umbrella. i had owned a Pier I multi tiered umbrella ($198) and it looked great when I first brought it home, but after one summer, it had faded, the wood swelled to the point where I couldn't get it out of the stand & when the skeleton arm broke, it could NOT be repaired & I paid more than a few carpenters to try. THIS umbrella is a completely different experience from start to finish: well made, lightweight fabric, easy to unpack & popped right into the stand without tiresome effort: no ladders required. It does exactly what it’s supposed to: protects from hot sun & rain, tilts accordingly & I LOVE the deep teal blue that is very soothing in all weather conditions. The price is affordable and I hope it lasts for years. I’m a VERY happy customer!
