Lost Over Laos: A True Story of Tragedy, Mystery, and FriendshipIn 1971, as American forces hastened their withdrawal from Vietnam, a helicopter was hit by enemy fire over Laos and exploded in a fireball, killing four top combat photographers, Larry Burrows of Life magazine, Henri Huet of Associated Press, Kent Potter of United Press International, and Keisaburo Shimamoto of Newsweek. The Saigon press corps and the American public were stunned, but the remoteness of the location made a recovery attempt impossible.
In 1971, as American forces hastened their withdrawal from Vietnam, a helicopter was hit by enemy fire over Laos and exploded in a fireball, killing four top combat photographers, Larry Burrows of Life magazine, Henri Huet of Associated Press, Kent Potter of United Press International, and Keisaburo Shimamoto of Newsweek. The Saigon press corps and the American public were stunned, but the remoteness of the location made a recovery attempt impossible. When the war ended four years later in a communist victory, the war zone was sealed off to outsiders, and the helicopter incident faded from most memories. Yet two journalists from the Vietnam press corps -- Richard Pyle, former Saigon Bureau Chief, and Horst Faas, Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer in Vietnam-pledged to return some day to Laos, resolve mysteries about the crash, and pay homage to their lost friends. True to their vow, twenty-seven years after the incident the authors joined a U.S. team excavating the hillside where the helicopter crashed. Few human remains were found, but camera parts and bits of film provided eerie proof of what happened there. The narrative of Lost Over Laos is framed in a period that was among the war's bloodiest, for both the military and the media, yet has received relatively little attention from historians. It is rich with behind-the-scenes anecdotes about the Saigon press corps and illustrated with stunning work by the four combat photographers who died and their colleagues.Binding Type: Paperback

Charges well and is sturdy and secure.
Color: PINK
This has been working really well for me. I have it mounted on my dash and not the window and it is very sturdy. My phone charges well with this and it has never dropped my phone and doesnt wiggle with car movement do it is very sturdy compared to others iv had in the past. Easy to remove phone and put phone in without having to adjust size every time. Great for delivery drivers. I haven't used the vent mount and don't see the need for it.

Charging phone holder
Color: PURPLE
My man loves this. He says it helps when he drives incase he needs a different route and his phone is needed. It is easy for him to use and fits his cellphone well. It seems to be very durable and keeps the phone stable and locked in place.

Well-designed but might not fit smaller phones
Color: BLACK
This is a very nice product. My only complaint is that it is not well-suited for my older Samsung S22 phone, because the phone sits so low I. The cradle that its power button is inaccessible. I solved that by fastening a small spacer onto the bottom edge of the cradle, and now it works very well. It would be a better product if the bottom edge of the cradle could be adjusted. Aside from that minor issue, it automatically grips the phone and holds it firmly, and there's a built-in battery so the ungripping process functions even after the ignition is turned off and power to the cradle is shut off.

Works Great
Color: BLACK
I really like the automatic closing feature when my iPhone is placed on the charger. I have a Pro Max and I thought the phone might be too heavy for the clasp and would move while driving. I have used both the suction cup and vent connector to hold charger and phone without it moving. The device also must have a capacitor or battery, as when the power is off to the holder, you can still press the release button and the charger opens to release the phone
