MOUNTAIN STATIC is the new project of Melbourne based musician SIMON GIBBS, who was formerly the singer and multi-instrumentalist in TTT (Tic Toc Tokyo). Mountain Static was born from a need to experiment with instrumentation but at the same time maintain a keen sense of melody. Taking it's lead from folk art and sacred music, 'Research' explores themes of exile, migration and return and what it means to travel and engage with the landscape. The album is based around two main musical elements: voice and percussion. The end result is a sound of NICO and FUN BOY THREE jamming in a hut on the Marlborough Sounds. Think multiple harmonies, scratchy organ and layered percussion. Recorded and produced by NAO ANZAI (LAURA, KES TRIO), Research was performed entirely by Simon Gibbs and features guest musicians DAPHNE SHUM (RAT vs POSSUM) and NICOLAS OOGIES (NO ZU).

My daughter usually wears a 7-8. Size 8 pants have to have the elastic pulled tight. I got the size M (8 years). It was way too tight on her. Had to send it back. We did like the way it looked and felt, but just too small.
