The FTSs | Glycol Jacketed Tank kit has been designed to leverage components from our home brewing FTSs line in an effort to provide a low cost solution to pair a 1, 2, or 3.5 BBL Jacketed Unitank and Jacketed Brite Tanks with one of our 3/8 HP or 3/4 HP glycol chillers.

This system features a custom TC thermowell adapter, along with silicone insert to adapt the temperature probe from an FTSs controller to the welded in sleeved thermowell port on our line of Jacketed Tanks.  In addition, a custom designed low pressure open silicone check valve is included to prevent backflow to the chiller's reservoir when glycol is not flowing.  The kit includes upgraded 3/8" ID silicone glycol tubing, and 1/2" NPT to 3/8" barbs to adapt the glycol ports for use with our standard FTSs pump. 

Since most Jacketed Tanks are setup for use with a pressurized loop glycol system typically found in commercial breweries, this kit offers a Nano brewery an affordable, easy to setup alternative to more elaborate or expensive installations.  Everything is included to interface a single Jacketed Tank with an Ss Glycol Chiller.

This version doesn’t work
I used these 2 nights in a row. I was hoping Oracoat found a solution to the problem people like me have with the regular Xylimelts: irritation of gums. As others have noted the “sensitive” version doesn’t melt and the goo that remains can be difficult to remove. I didn’t have too much trouble after the first night. However, the second day after use, it was so hard to get the remains out, I wound up with a very sore spot from digging it out. I will toss the rest. It’s too bad this effort fizzled. I hope Oracoat will find a solution For sensitive mouths. In the b meantime, I will use the original for a few nights and then stop before repeating. The idea behind the original product is fantastic. Unfortunately this attempt to make it usable for people with sensitive mouths hasn’t worked. Please try again.

I had used the original Xylimelts a few years back for my night time very dry mouth. They worked very well, completely dissolving overnight, but they caused sores inside my cheeks. Recently I discovered this new version which was purported to be made without the offending ingredients. They don't work quite as well, as they don't completely dissolve, but so far haven't caused any irritation. My mouth isn't completely parched as it was without any product, so it is definitely better than nothing. There is a gel-like residue in the morning that needs to be scraped off the teeth. I think Oracoat has some more R & D to do.
