INTRODUCTION

About Orea Series

OREA Series: Eliminates parasitic vibrations and provides greater sound clarity and focus. The OREA’s are ideal for electronic components including Amplifiers, DAC’s, CD Players, Speakers, and Turntables. Made of machined stainless steel, these isolators have a low-profile design to minimize any increase in height.

Each OREA model is designed with a different weight capacity. They each have a coloured ring on the bottom isolator that denotes the model and weight capacity. The OREA series are packaged individually to allow greater flexibility when determining the number of units to use. We recommend a minimum of 3 units under each component, depending on weight.

TECHNOLOGY

Greater sound clarity

The upper flange of the OREA’s are designed to provide a suction cup like effect and adhere to the underside of the component, while the lower flange adheres to the supporting surface. All the energy is managed within the core of the OREA’s, which are tuned to work within specific weight ranges. This results in greater sound clarity and a more open soundstage providing authentic, three-dimensional sound.

Works with or without feet

The existing feet on an audio component may connect well and fit nicely around the perimeter of the OREA isolator. Alternatively, you may get better performance by either removing the feet entirely or placing the OREA’s beside the existing feet to have them connect directly to the chassis or base of the component.

Weight capacity

The OREA’s are designed to be used in multiples to match the weight of the component or speaker. The total weight capacity is calculated as follows:

Total Weight Capacity = [Weight cap. per isolator] x [Qty of Isolators]

Previous columnNext column

Quantity of isolators Graphite 4lbs (1.8kg) / unit Bronze 8lbs (3.6kg) / unit Indigo 16lbs (7.2kg) / unit Bordeaux 32lbs (14.5kg) / unit
3 12 lbs. (5.4 kg) 24 lbs. (10.8 kg) 48 lbs. (21.6 kg) 96 lbs. (43.5 kg)
4 16lbs (7.2 kg) 32lbs (14.4 kg) 64lbs (28.8 kg) 128lbs (58 kg)
5 20lbs (9 kg) 40lbs (18 kg) 80lbs (36 kg) 160lbs (72.5 kg)
6 24lbs (10.8 kg) 48lbs (21.6 kg) 96lbs (43.2 kg) 192lbs (87 kg)

It is common to use 3 or 4 OREA isolators for each component or speaker, but keep in mind that it is most important to stay within the weight capacity of the OREA isolator.

The weight distribution of the component can also be taken into account. If for example the component is heaviest at the back, then it is common to use 3 isolators with 2 positioned at the back corners and 1 positioned front/center.

Awards + Reviews

“The Gaias and Oreas have already enhanced the systems of more than one Stereophile writer and have reminded us of the pleasures of recommending well-designed, well-made, fairly priced products.”

Stereophile

Product of the Year WINNER 2019

"Pound for pound, OREA is among the best value for money upgrades that can be made to any hifi system.”

The EAR

Best Hi-Fi Component 2019

“I caught myself wide-eyed with joy on more than a few occasions as I heard nuances in tracks I’ve listened to for years but never noticed before.”

The EAR

Editor’s Choice Award Winner

Each year, The Absolute Sound’s staff choose components that truly stand out from the competition. This selective list is known as the Golden Ear Awards.

The Absolute Sound

Golden Ear Award 2020

“I imagined I might hear a bit of a difference between my plinth's original feet and the IsoAcoustics pucks. But the difference I heard was beyond my expectations.”

Stereophile

Recommended Components 2021

“…it seemed to me there was less noise mixed in with the fundamentals and overtones: notes were clearer, instrumental sounds closer to the way they sound in real life.”

Stereophile

Recommended Components 2018

“…I think the sound quality get´s better to such an extent, that I think there's very few upgrades out there to match the Orea´s within their price range. If any, that would be acoustic treatment of the room...”

Stereopluss Norway

Especially Recommended

“Once again, I was astounded by the difference in sound quality with the IsoAcoustics’ isolation in place. The first thing I noticed was a tightening of the bass, followed by a general increase in clarity.”

Paul C

HI-FI Trends

"With the IsoAcoustics OREAs, the mandolin seemed notably louder, especially in the opening measures, where it's the only instrument being played, and had more body and an altogether richer timbral character.”

Art Dudley

Stereophile Magazine

“They offer fantastic isolation support and vibration control to a huge amount of equipment and applications at a price that is simply unheard of in this somewhat overpriced industry.”

Dan Worth

HiFi Pig

“The nature of the sonic enhancements from the Orea Indigos increase focus, precision and an essential tonal realism while providing important frequency discipline that results in an excellent sonic response. Frankly, the more feet you buy, the better your hi-fi will sound.”

Paul Rigby

The Audiophile Man

“The IsoAcoustics isolator pods are easily recommendable. Slip some under your gear, and the audible results are both obvious and worthwhile.”

Peter Familari

Stereonet Australia

“...the sound acquired another measure of clarity and transparency: the result was similar to the effect of putting GAIAs under my speakers…”

Robert Deutsch

Stereophile Magazine

“The texture and density of the low frequency, the sense of space of the sound field have been improved again, and the balance of the entire sound field stage has been upgraded…”

Pretty Darn Good
Format: Kindle
So I’ve been on a omega kick and this definitely hit the spot. Madison was frustrating at times with how she acted towards Lucas, Gray, and Rian. It was like she said towards the end, she didn’t believe she deserved nice things. It would have been nice to hear from her best friends again. They kind of were there in the beginning and the gone except for mention of text messages received from them. I feel like her friends would have been great help in encouraging Madison to go with the pack and never give Brent another chance because he was toxic. I loved Rian. His personality was awesome. His humor. His ability to make Madison comfortable whenever she was feeling overwhelmed. And the fact he fell for her and she fell for him first. They are cute together. I do feel like Lucas was the odd man out though. Like Lucas didn’t develop as much of a relationship with Madison. I would have really liked to see more development in the relationship between them. It was also the same with him and Rian. There is really no relationship displayed. Most of the relationship being displayed is between Rian and Gray. Nevertheless, I loved reading about the dynamic that came to fruition during the entirety of this story. Madison finally got her happiness. And Brent finally got punched in the face. Everyone got exactly what they deserve.

Pack's Promise was okay but not great
Format: Kindle
Pack's Promise was okay but not great. I won't recommend it to anyone that I know. PRO: * Very likable characters * Lots of steamy scenes that are written very well * The spelling and grammar are good * The punctuation is good with the exception of using hyphens instead of commas. Lots of hyphens. Lots and lots of hyphens. CON: * Almost no interactions with any characters outside of Madison and the pack * Nearly no plot. They meet, get together for a heat, agree to make it permanent, done * Quite a few typos such as extraneous words, missing words and words out of order THINGS TO KNOW: * More steamy scenes than storytelling * A lot of MM & MMM, some MFMM during heat

Fluffy and Nice Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
… this would have made 5 stars but for 2 reasons. A.) there were quite a few typos; misspelled words, missing quotations, “the his” mistakes, and various signs that maybe a proofread would do good. B.) the writing was quite textbook. Late blooming omega is struggling with her new self, finds a absurdly wealthy pack of alphas, every thing is almost insta-love but she resists, then decides to love herself and let everyone be happy. Rian was my favourite (obviously the author’s favourite too because he got the most page time) but I wish we could see more of his CEO side? He went to work maybe ONCE the entire time. Gray was supposed to be the “growly one” but he turned out to be puppy dog. Lucas was a genius brainiac doctor - but also super alpha with an aggressive hindbrain with a breeding k*nk?? And then there was no actual “breeding”?? Spice 3/5 - normally omegaverse books are super high on messy smut but this was tamer. Romance 3/5 - insta-love that was then resisted because of personal hangup’s Plot 2/5 - weird paced head hopping, showing the same scene from different POV’s that made me feel like it was 2 steps backward, 1 step forward. Humour 4/5 - there were a dozen lines that genuinely made me chuckle out loud Would have been five stars but the lack of proofreading and the predictable plot made me unable to get up to ADORED IT level - four stars is still and official ENJOYED IT, y’all. This isn’t a bad rating. The “Club Heat” has intriguing possibilities so I’m going to give the second one a shot.

OUTSTANDING
Format: Kindle
This was very, very good. The world is vast and characters are complex. There is a good plot with a whole lot going on. This is well written. Good twists and turns and some heart breaking moments. You will love these characters, they have heart and loyalty. I am hoping that there will be several more books. We've yet to see anything from the Sea Court but only a mention of them here and there. The Wood Court was given a quick couple of scenes, and only as far as some warriors, we've yet to enter their court and the Shadow Court, I'm not sure if they will be a force for good or bad, but they definitely will play a much bigger role moving forward. This is primarily the Ice and Air Courts. Told in multiple views, which I loved, it gives you a chance to see things from different eyes. There's alot of political maneuvering and deception. I loved it and will pick up the next book as it becomes available. If you like The Fae and the courts, you should love this. I think the author has mucn in store for us.
