Delphinium Summer Skies Delphinium Cultorum is a hardy, herbaceous perennial that belongs to the Ranunculaceae family. Delphinium Summer Skies seeds are an economical way to grow this remarkable garden flower that belongs to the vigorous and tall Pacific Giant Hybrids series. Delphinium Summer Skies grows 6 feet tall forming clumps of attractive foliage with dark-green, deeply-cut leaves and producing spectacular spikes of large, bowl-shaped, light-blue flowers with a white "bee" in the center. Very attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds, showy Delphinium flowers appear from early to mid summer, but the plant can re-bloom in fall, if the flower stems are removed immediately after the bloom is over.
Delphinium Summer Skies is widely planted in perennial summer borders and cutting gardens, and the group and background planting are one of the most often used garden applications for Delphinium Pacific Giant Hybrids. To ensure the successful germination rate, the Delphinium Cultorum seeds have to be kept moist until germination occur, and the best growing conditions for this perennial plant are full sun and fertile, moist, well-drained soil .
