Also commonly called False Baby Stars, this popular garden plant is known by two botanical names Linanthus Androsaceus and Leptosiphon Androsaceus. Leptosiphon French Hybrids is a compact growing, low to the ground flowering plant with ferny foliage and masses of small, star-shaped, bright, multicolored flowers that come in shades of rose, yellow, orange and cream. False Baby Stars blooms all season long creating a stunning colorful carpet in a garden.
Leptosiphon French Hybrids Mix is often grown as a ground cover, and other uses include edging the front of the flower bed, container planting, edging a pathway, and planting in rock gardens. Leptosiphon Hybrida seeds have to be sown on surface and covered just slightly with soil no more than 1/8 inch deep. Once established, False Baby Stars flower performs best in full sun and rich, well-drained soil.
