Gazania Garden Leader Pink Gazania Rigens is a herbaceous, evergreen perennial plant native to South Africa. Gazania Garden Leader Pink seeds are easy and fast to germinate without any special treatment. Commonly called Treasure Flower, Gazania Rigens can be grown as perennial in USDA zones 8-11, but everywhere else Gazania is grown as a popular ornamental flowering plant with a compact growing habit and clumping silvery foliage. Gazania Garden Leader Pink blooms repeatedly all season long, and masses of bright, large, daisy-like, pink flowers with contrasting yellow centers attract bees, and butterflies.

Gazania Garden Leader Pink is often planted as a ground cover, and Treasure Flower is a popular garden flower for growing in rock gardens, borders, around driveways and sidewalks, hanging, baskets, containers, and as an accent plant in any sunny spot. If the plant is planned to be grown as an annual, Gazania Rigens seeds can be started indoors in winter 6-8 weeks before last frost for the earlier start of bloom season. Deadheading the plants will increase the bloom time. Treasure Flower thrives in a full sun location and well drained soil tolerating heat and drought.

Slight odor, more flexible than I expected

These looked like they were going to be heavy duty, but they were more flexible than I expected (see video clip). They probably still will work well, but if you’re poking your fork into something stiff, expect that the fork might bend some. There was a slight chemical odor when I opened the package, and I’m not a fan of that. As someone with MCS, I have to avoid exposure to fragrances and other harmful chemicals, and it makes me wonder what these are coated with. The gold might be cute for the aesthetic you’re going for with a particular gathering or party, but I find it unnecessary. I would rather go with the real heavy duty ones that are clear plastic from a club warehouse rather than these gold ones. I feel that these are overpriced for the quality, but not a bad price if all you’re going for is the gold aesthetic.
