More rocker ratio means more valve lift from the same cam — and CMI's 1.5:1 billet roller kit delivers it with race-proven hardware. This is the track-tested 2025 assembly with forced-feed oiling and DLC-coated shafts, engineered to survive extreme lift and high RPM while keeping the valvetrain cool. The 1.5:1 ratio is identified by black anodized end caps.

Features

  • 1.5:1 rocker ratio (black anodized end caps)
  • Forced-feed oiling — oil routed through the pushrods to the shafts and sprayed onto the roller tips
  • Rocker arms machined from 7050-T651 aluminum, hard-anodized with Teflon seal
  • 9310 steel shafts with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) low-friction coating
  • 3/8" H13 tool steel adjusters with ball cups and titanium 12-point lock nuts
  • Grade 12.9 mounting studs with 7075-T651 aluminum blocks and spacers
  • Constant oil bath cools the valve springs and reduces friction at high RPM

Specifications

  • Ratio: 1.5:1
  • Rocker body: 7050-T651 aluminum, hard anodized
  • Shaft: DLC-coated 9310 steel
  • Adjusters: H13 tool steel with titanium lock nuts

  • Mounting studs: Grade 12.9

Fitment

CONFIRMED: VW Type 1 air-cooled engines — Beetle, Bus, Karmann Ghia, Type 3, Thing — in performance and racing builds running high-lift cams. The 1.5:1 ratio increases effective valve lift, so verify rocker geometry, pushrod length, retainer-to-guide clearance, and coil bind for your specific cam and head combination. NOT CONFIRMED: Type 4 engines.

Questions & Answers

What ratio is this kit? 1.5:1, identified by black anodized end caps. The 1.4:1 version has blue caps.

What does the higher ratio do? It increases effective valve lift over a 1.4:1 or stock 1.1:1 rocker, for more flow from the same cam.

How does the oiling work? Oil is force-fed through the pushrods to the DLC shafts and sprayed onto the roller tips for constant cooling and low friction.

Will these fit my build? They fit Type 1 engines; with the added lift, verify geometry, pushrod length, and clearances carefully.

Is this a CMI product? Yes — CMI Precision, sold by Washburn's Metal.

Pretty Nice
Color: E-Blackpro 4, Color: E-Blackpro 4
I’m not sure why the promotional photos show these hooks with the bent ends pointing down. To me that makes no sense, as it seems they are using them upside down. It makes more sense to me to have the bent ends point up, so the items being stored do not slide off. Additionally, the shorter bent hooks make no sent to have on the top, as they would limit how far back you could place a shovel or other tool. When using the hooks with the bent ends pointing up, you can place your lighter bulkier items on the long hooks, but then use the short hooks for those heavier items (if they fit), as that gets them closer to the magnets and will have less leverage to make the magnetic hooks fall free from the metal they are trying to be attracted to. In my example photos, you can see how the shorter hooks do not obstruct the shovels and other tools from being stored properly and the bent ends then also help to prevent the tools from sliding off the hook. Overall, I am very happy with the hooks. I’ve had a fondness for magnets since I was a kid, so I have a very realistic expectation of the limits of magnets and these magnetic hooks perform as well as I would expect.

Strong magnetic hook with only one small con
Color: E-Blackpro 4
I got the four-pack of magnetic hooks and the magnets are indeed strong. You have to reasonable with how much weight you hang off of these though! The longer hooks help with holding multiple items. I've used them for shovels and rakes and they hold up just fine. The only slight con is that I wish the ends of the hooks curled up instead of down to keep items from sliding off as safety precaution. You can just turn the hook upside down but then the shorter hooks are at the bottom. They work for what I need them and can hold power tools as well. The hooks are sturdy and the magnet power is impressive.

Magnets are strong
Color: E-Blackpro 4
Arrived fast. Magnets are really strong on my husbands metal peg board in the garage outside. The only draw back, the rings are slightly long for a work bench area. Wish they were 3-4''.

Happy with them
I'm putting up shelves around my bed for my books, and so far, the first shelf is holding nicely with these brackets. They seem pretty sturdy and were easy to install with the screws and anchors that came with it. I measured out where i wanted the brackets on the board and then screwed them to it. I then held it against the wall and used a level to make sure it was level, then put a screw in the middle bracket to hold it level while i marked the rest of the screw holes. I did this all by myself, but it would've been a lot easier to do with two people. I plan to buy more and put up more shelves
