Giallo paglierino, al naso ricorda immediatamente il varietale grazie ad un profilo olfattivo giocato su note fruttate di mango, di pesca, in generale di frutta esotica. Dallo spiccato carattere mediterraneo, in bocca è vino che spicca per equilibrio. Una certa acidità bilancia un certo calore in un tutt'uno di grande piacevolezza. Chiude con un leggero ritorno sul frutto.

Nessun altro vitigno a bacca bianca si identifica con la Sardegna come il vermentino. Quelli che ne derivano, in particolare quando vinificati in acciaio come il Vermentino di Sardegna DOC "Giunco" di Mesa, sono vini di grande freschezza e mineralità, caratterizzati da un chiaro richiamo marino, perfetti compagni della tavola. Vini dissetanti ed eleganti, assolutamente da non mancare.

Perfetto come aperitivo, il "Giunco" è vino bianco ideale per accompagnare delicate preparazioni a base di pesce. Da una semplice zuppa ad un risotto.
