About the American Landmarks Series:The American Landmarks Series of Priority and Express Mail stamps began with the issue of the $4.80 Mount Rushmore (US #4268) and $16.50 Hoover Dam (US #4269) stamps in 2008.Since then, two new stamps have been released nearly every year (with a few exceptions).? All picture vibrant images of some of the most iconic places in America created by digital artist Dan Cosgrove.Altogether, they resemble a virtual tour of America.
History the stamp represents:When you think of the American West, you probably picture the dramatic landscapes featured in Hollywood blockbusters. That scenery might seem larger than life, but much of it was shot in a real place ¨C Monument Valley on the border of Utah and Arizona.
Monument Valley is located on the Colorado Plateau, an area known for its huge sandstone buttes and red sand. These elements were formed by millions of years of wind erosion. The red color of the desert comes from iron oxide in the nearby siltstone and sandstone. Some of the most famous landmarks within Monument Valley are the Mitten and Merrick Buttes.
Thousands of visitors travel to the area each year to take a tour through Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. The Navajo Nation treats the area like a national park, with guided tours, gift shops, Navajo handcrafts, and more.Since Monument Valley is a desert, guests are encouraged to bring plenty of water and sun protection when visiting.
Monument Valley may be a harsh desert, but that what makes the valley so beautiful. The landscape continues to inspire photographers and artists from across the country to this day.

Cute for small dogs, but my Malinois made it extinct in minutes
I ordered this plush toy for my Belgian Malinois, and I went into it fully aware of what I was doing. With my dog, “plush toy” basically translates to “short lived prey simulation,” and I’m honestly okay with that because it helps her satisfy that prey drive in a safe, controlled way. She is always under direct supervision when she has toys like this. The toy is cute, and the concept is fun. The wings and textures are engaging, and I can see how the squeaker/crinkle would be exciting for a small or medium dog that actually plays with plush toys instead of immediately performing surgery on them. For my dog though, it was not durable in any sense of the word. Within about 30 seconds, she had both wings ripped off. Within five minutes, the entire thing was shredded and gutted. It did its job as an enrichment “destroy me” toy, but if you’re buying this expecting it to last, it won’t hold up to a strong chewer. It’s also not quite as plush and soft as it looks in the listing photos. It’s more on the lightweight side, which might be fine for smaller dogs, but it felt a bit less cozy than I expected. I’m giving it four stars because it is a cute toy and would probably be a fun, engaging option for the intended size range, especially dogs that aren’t power shredders. For large breeds or dogs with intense chewing styles (or Belgian Malinois energy), just know it’s going to be a very brief relationship.
