Іронічно-віталістична, а іноді сороміцько-плотська атмосфера цього роману нагадує дотепні та невульґарні еротичні фільми Тінто Брасса. Низка історій, покладених в їхню основу, могла розвиватися навіть у таких політичних чи історичних контекстах, коли, здавалося, було не до жартів чи сексу. Зрештою, можна шукати чимало інших прихованих цитат і ремінісценцій із творами світової літератури, які безжально потрапили в інтертекстуальну топку Яценка, але нехай це буде полем діяльності для майбутніх читачів. Важлива ознака цього твору - поєднання іронічного та сексуального, красивого та корисного, власне, напевно, саме в цьому форматі цей роман вписується в досить тривалу літературну традицію ще з часів прози доби Відродження.
