The sun shines through the window, the aroma of freshly cooked food fills the kitchen, and the dining room is set beautifully, ready for a memorable Sunday. But then—a dish goes flying and smashes into the attic. Why does this kind of thing always happen to us?

In the cooperative board game Home Sweet Home (or Not), 2-5 players must work together to complete the objectives of one of the five unique missions included in the game. Each mission requires a different layout of the house, built from various rooms connected by 3D wooden doors.

Players take on the roles of different family members, each with action points to spend recovering objects from the rooms and returning them to their proper places as dictated by the mission. Will you be able to gather all the scattered items and store them in the attic before the aliens arrive? Or can you help Santa Claus load all the presents into the sled parked in your garage?

With its whimsical scenarios and engaging teamwork, Home Sweet Home (or Not) challenges you to turn chaos into order—before time runs out!

Not a Users Guide
Format: Paperback
Although many readers may find this book useful, it describes a particular approach to Powerpoint. It is not anything like a comprehensive users guide.

Just linear
Format: Paperback
I appreciate that it helps to organize the chaos of information, but I just used the template verbatim with my manager and it did not go very well. He said this linear approach does not work anymore with high-level corporate audiences. They want to cut right to the chase and start to dig into the deep details. This layout with simple images, even if you just pull away the map and anchor slides, makes the storytelling too much like a story, not giving enough credit to the speed at which certain audiences can and do process data on a slide. It was an interesting exercise and I still think this linear layout works in some cases. Just not if you are trying to communicate business case or other C-suite type of information.
