Marketed to kids 4-12, this content is quite simply odd. Squirrel girl taking her (female) squirrel to a school dance dressed up in a trenchcoat? Black Panther recalling a library fight over…censored books and xenophobia? Wiccan baking his gay superhero lover a cake? Ms. Marvel having an anxiety attack and obsessing over ‘not being enough’ over a social media post calling her a b-list superhero? Gwen Stacy haunted by an intergalactic stalker/creep that keeps her from band practice? This one is high on progressive storylines and low on decent storytelling…
