Signs that your regulator needs replacing:
Depending on the location of the regulator rectifier, the part can easily overheat. Other causes for a dead regulator rectifier center on the battery. Ground connections are important for good voltage, and if there is a faulty voltage, the regulator rectifier can run hot. Bad grounding, corroded battery connection and poor or loose battery connections will cause faulty voltage too.

There are generally two ways for the regulator rectifier to fail:
The first deals with diode burnout, resulting in battery drain. It is easy to assume that the issue is a bad battery because of symptoms such as dimming headlights and poor starts. Checking the voltage with a voltmeter versus relying on symptoms alone will prove highly beneficial. If the voltage drops below 13 volts, the motorcycle will begin to drain the battery and eventually the engine will stop. Check for bad connections and corrosion; these can also cause voltage issues.
The other failure type is shunt regulator burnout, where the regulator rectifier fails to control the voltage, resulting in battery overcharge. Again, a voltmeter will be useful for diagnosis. Though generally, readings above 17 volts mean the regulator rectifier is not converting the excess power correctly and all of that excess voltage may cause the headlights to become extremely bright and then blow.

The wood is great.
I used to use a typical padded wrist pad, but am a heavy sweater. Upon reading another review in regards to that matter I decided to take the plunge on this rest. I have been a user of the Model O mouse from Glorious for a while and liked it so I trusted the company's reputation for taking gamers' needs into consideration. After using it for about a week and playing different types of games/working from home on it, I can say that although your sweat might pool during sweaty moments, it's easy to wipe off and doesn't seem to easily absorb into the wood. The wood itself is of a nice quality, I like the oak over the onyx for a more "real wood" look. There was no difference in comfort for me, you'd think being used to a padded wrist this shift would be "hard" on me, but no, I haven't had any problems. It's ergonomics for typing are also good as I notice my WPM and consistency be higher on multiple tests. All-in-all quite satisfied with the purchase, fits the aesthetic, feel, and ergonomics I was looking for.

Very well made, matches width of Keychron Q6 perfectly, great for bigger hands!
This is a nicely finished slab of wood that is an EXACT match for my Keychron Q6 in both width and height. Depthwise, this is 4", so if you got larger hands (as I do), this is a bit better than the silicone Keychron version which I believe is 3.5" or so in depth. The non-stick feet are a nice feature, and the profile is wonderful to type on. Only issue with the item I received is a small nick right below the Glorious emblem on the lower right of the wrist rest - may have been an errant tool mark. However, this doesn't detract in my own opinion, from the well-designed profile and features of this wrist rest and was easily covered with a furniture marking pen. I'm still giving this item 5-stars and getting another one for the office!

Positive points • Solid and durable construction: Unlike foam, wood maintains its shape and provides stable support over time. • Elegant and minimalist design: Its finish gives a premium touch to any setup. • Effective non-slip base: The bottom rubbers prevent unwanted movements, providing total stability. • Easy maintenance: Although wood is slightly porous and can retain natural oils or residue from creams and perfumes, cleaning it is easy. Areas for improvement • Less softness than foam: Although still comfortable, wood sacrifices some of the cushioned feel that some prefer. A redesign with a foam strip on top could improve this. • Inconsistent finish between versions: I bought the mouse rest and the TKL at the same time, but noticed that the color tones were different (one blacker than the other). It doesn't affect functionality, but it does affect aesthetics. If you're looking for durability, stability, and a sophisticated design, this is a highly recommended palm rest, especially if you find it on sale. Although it's not as soft as the foam ones, it does its job of providing ergonomic support exceptionally well. An excellent complement for those who spend long hours at the PC and are looking for a sturdier alternative to traditional palm rests.
