Herbalist Hint: The whole seeds can be ground and added to smoothies, cereal, oatmeal or soups. They have a mild nutty/bitter flavor. 

Ingredients: Milk Thistle 

Common use:

Regenerative liver tonic; helps neutralize free radicals; supports healthy digestion (bitter tonic); supports gallbladder function (stimulates bile flow, which helps the body digest fats).

Suggested directions:

Pour 1 cup of boiling water over ½ to 1 teaspoonful of herb. Allow to steep 4-7 minutes, then strain. Drink 1- 2 cups of tea daily. If desired, add honey and/or lemon to taste. NOTE: Some experience loose stools in the first few days of use.
