Brits vliegenier Monty Collins van de Royal Air Force verzeilde na de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Berlijn. Hij ontfermde zich er over de Berlijnse zoo en vooral over een aap genaamd Max. In 1951 verliet hij de Royal Air Force om uurwerken te leren maken in het Zwarte Woud. Toen dat plan strandde, begon hij de herberg “Zum Wilden Affen”. Omdat hij niet alleen heimwee had naar zijn aap, maar ook naar de Britse gin, ontwikkelde hij zelf een ginrecept met ingrediënten uit het Zwarte Woud en uit India, waar hij opgroeide.

Smaak & aroma: Een gin die alle registers opentrekt. Ondanks de zeer uitgesproken kruiden, jeneverbes en peper blijft de citrussmaak overeind. 47 % alcohol.

Aangepaste tonic: Fentimans is de enige Tonic die de uppercut van deze complexe gin weerstaat. Resultaat: een vuurwerk van kruiden en citrussmaken. Braambes is een van de typische botanicals uit het Zwarte Woud.

Garnituur: Braambes en braambesbladeren.

So my experience is that they are very difficult to get on and once they're on they really bugged me after awhile I need to get them off, but they're very difficult to get off without turning the gloves inside out. ...then you have to try get them turned back to right side out... in the end I tried them and then thought I would try them one more time but they were such a pain in the rear that I ended up tossing them in the trash because I waited too long to be able to return them. One of my saddest purchases from Amazon!
