Ze zijn razend populair bij het kinderdagverblijf of op school maar ook steeds meer gezinnen hebben ze in huis: sensorische tegels. Maar wat zijn sensorische tegels eigenlijk? Het pakket bestaat uit verschillende ‘puzzelstukken’ die makkelijk in elkaar te klikken zijn en daarmee een grote mat vormen. Je kiest zelf hoe je de mat legt, alles in een rechte lijn, in een vierkant of een rechthoek. Het leuke van deze sensorische tegels zijn dat elke tegel weer anders is. Niet alleen qua kleur maar ook qua structuur. De ene tegel is hard en een ander weer zacht. De een heeft een grasachtig gevoel en een ander bestaat uit een soort van ‘boomstammen’. Dit stimuleert de fantasie van het kind enorm. Het is dan ook niet gek dat kinderen het heerlijk vinden om met de sensorische tegels te spelen. Een kind waant zich bij de ene tegel in een bos en bij een andere tegel op een grasveld. Een kind kan als ware een hele reis afleggen als hij of zij met de sensorische tegels speelt. Soms spelen kinderen met attributen op de tegels als bijvoorbeeld een speelgoedauto, speelgoeddieren of popjes. Het spelen met de tegels kan heel goed individueel maar de tegels lenen zich er ook uitstekend voor om samen te spelen.Sensorische tegels ervaren
Veel kinderen vinden het heerlijk om over de tegels heen te lopen en de verschillende structuren onder hun voeten te voelen. Dit is heel goed voor de motorische ontwikkeling en het evenwicht. Sommigen schrijven het lopen over de matten ook een therapeutische werking toe vanwege de drukpunten in de voet die verbinding hebben met andere delen in het lijf die hiermee gestimuleerd worden. Het wisselen van ondergrond helpt daarnaast ook bij platvoeten.Naast erover lopen, vinden veel kinderen het fijn om de matten met hun handen te ontdekken. De matten zijn geweldig voor gebruik in scholen en kinderdagverblijven en kunnen worden gebruikt om interactieve of zintuiglijke verhalen te creëren en om fantasierijk spel, kleurverkenning en gezamenlijk spel te bevorderen.
De tegels zijn 30 cm bij 30 cm per stuk. De puzzelstukken zijn gemaakt van PVC en zijn antislip. Ze kunnen op elke vlakke ondergrond gebruikt worden, zelf op badkamertegels.

Fabric shaver works fine but the shield gets in the way, and the included lint roller is terrible

I ordered this to replace an older, smaller fabric shaver that still worked fairly well but had an extremely annoying battery compartment that would slide open during use. I do not have that issue at all with this one. In fact, the compartment is almost a little too secure, as it can be difficult to open and I sometimes make a mess when emptying it, but that is likely just something I need to get used to.
The shaver itself works well enough overall, but I do think the fabric shield should be adjustable to sit closer to the blades. You can rotate it to change the position, but it does not get close enough to the fabric to work effectively without applying extra pressure. Once I figured out how much pressure is needed, it performed consistently, and I am generally satisfied with the results. I also prefer this handle style over the electric razor style shavers, so the grip and overall shape worked well for me.
The included lint roller, however, is awful. Mine arrived noticeably warped and looked almost like it had water damage, even though it was fully sealed in plastic. I am not sure what caused that, but it was barely usable out of the box, so it did not feel like a major loss. The adhesive sheets are extremely thin and feel more like slick, lightly sticky wax paper rather than the thicker paper style sheets I normally use.
The perforation is also poorly designed, which makes removing used sheets frustrating. The sheets kept peeling incorrectly until I realized you have to tear them straight across horizontally, similar to separating toilet paper. Even after figuring that out, it was still annoying to deal with. To make matters worse, the handle started cracking almost immediately once I applied enough pressure to actually roll it across fabric. At that point, it was effectively unusable.aaaAAA
I mainly ordered this bundle for the large fabric shaver, which I didn't see sold separately on Amazon. I think $14.99 is a reasonable price for this type of shaver, but the cost could likely be lower if they did not include the low quality lint roller.
