Een zeer aangename verrassing! Deze heerlijke Akènta Cuvée 71 van rising star vermentino uit het zonovergoten Sardinië verrast je in alle opzichten. Heerlijk geurig met aroma’s van verse bloesem en zongerijpt fruit, opvallend zuiver en sappig van smaak met een onverwacht zilte touch. Deze Sardijnse schone is absoluut onweerstaanbaar. Speciaal voor deze wijn selecteerden ze de beste vermentino-druiven van de beste wijngaarden.

De vermentino is dé druif van Sardinië. Op dit prachtige Italiaanse eiland genieten de druiven van de intense zon. Voor deze spannende Akènta Cuvée 71 werden druiven geselecteerd uit wijngaarden met een kalksteen bodem, met uitzicht op zee. De verkoelende zeewind zorgt ervoor dat ze langzaam rijpen maar ook hun frisheid behouden. De druiven worden pas geoogst als ze door en door rijp zijn en langzaam goudgeel verkleuren. De wijn barst van het zongerijpte gele fruit. Je proeft rijpe peren, appels en een vleug tropisch fruit, maar ook frisse zuren en een bittertje van grapefruit. Een rijping op de lies maakt de wijn vol en rond van smaak, maar de subtiele zuren, wat kruidige tonen en een bijna zilte mineraliteit houden hem elegant en spannend.

Tip: Heerlijk als origineel aperitief, maar ook erg lekker bij rauwe of gepocheerde vis. Door zijn zilte tonen ook erg lekker bij schaal- en schelpdieren.
