Hij gebruikte zijn katachtige sluwheid, ingenieuze vallen en mystieke sluipvaardigheden om zo'n beetje alles te vangen wat maar gevangen kon worden. Zijn faam nam in Skylands gigantische proporties aan en hij trok al snel de aandacht van een stelletje kwaadaardige tovenaars. Ze wilden Trap Shadow vangen en zijn vaardigheden gebruiken om het meest onvangbare wezen ooit te vangen: Meester Eon in hoogst eigen persoon. Maar Trap Shadow zag ze al van kilometers afstand aankomen. De tovenaars werden in een handomdraai gevangen door Trap Shadow met hulp van zijn verbijsterende arsenaal vallen. Ze werden voorgoed opgesloten. Meester Eon was hem zo dankbaar, dat hij Trap Shadow een Skylander maakte.
