NEPOREX 2 WSG Madendood is een insecticide ter bestrijding van vliegenlarven in mest en andere broedplaatsen in stallen en hokken.

Het middel werkt als maaggif. Het gevolg is een geremde groei van de larven, terwijl het vervellingsproces wordt onderbroken en normale verpopping wordt verhinderd. Zo wordt een nieuwe vliegenexplosie in de kiem gesmoord. Door de zeer hoge oplosbaarheid van Neporex krijgt u een optimale indringing in de mest of voedselresten.

De toepassing dient gericht te worden op die van broedplaatsen. Volwassen vliegen worden niet bestreden, maar een nieuwe vliegenpopulatie wordt wel verhinderd. Eén week na toepassing van Neporex ziet u vliegendruk al afnemen. 

Voor een optimaal (en snel) resultaat combineert u de toepassing met een adulticide:
Voordelen

Toepassing
Tijdens de toepassing behoeven de dieren niet uit de stal of het hok te worden verwijderd.

Toepassen d.m.v. strooien, gieten of spuiten.

Dosering: 250 gram per 10 m².

Strooien: Strooi 250 gram Neporex madendood per 10 m2.
Gieten: Maak Neporex madendood aan door 250 gram met 10 liter te mengen. De ontstane oplossing is geschikt voor 10m2.
Spuiten: Meng 250 gram Neporex madendood met 1 tot 4 liter water. De oplossing is geschikt om 10 m2 te bespuiten.

Praktische tips

Kalveren op vaste vloeren met strobed

Vliegenlarven ontwikkelen zich niet daar waar het strobed goed door de dieren wordt vertreden. Hier worden de larvenpoppen namelijk vertrappeld. Volstaan kan worden met een 50 cm brede strook langs de wanden en rond opstanden als drinkbakken en palen egaal te behandelen. Toepassing middels strooien op vochtige mest of spuiten of gieten op droge mest. Opmerking: Een droge toepassing middels strooien op een diep strobed kan soms niet het gewenste resultaat geven door onvoldoende indringing of slechte verspreiding.

Varkens en rundvee op roosters en/of vaste vloeren

De roosters middels gieten of spuiten behandelen, vooral die plaatsen behandelen waar de latten of staven op de muur rusten en zo mogelijk ook de onderzijde van de roosters. Op de vaste vloer kan volstaan worden met een 50 cm brede strook langs de wanden en rond opstanden als drinkbakken en palen en egaal te behandelen.

Indien de mestput regelmatig wordt gemixt kan het volstaan om enkel de buitenste rand van de mestput te behandelen.

Pluimveestallen (batterijen en “flatdecks”)

Het gehele mestoppervlak dient gelijkmatig behandeld te worden. De beste resultaten worden verkregen wanneer de eerste toepassing ongeveer één week na het uitmesten plaatsvindt, waarbij de mestlaag niet dikker dan 10 cm mag zijn. De tweede toepassing 14 dagen later uitvoeren. Bij grote mestophopingen kan een derde toepassing noodzakelijk zijn. De toepassing middels spuiten of gieten uitvoeren.

Vast improvement in substance and organization; a few downsides

Among my other writing-related pursuits, I edit PhDs. This APA 7 manual is a big improvement over earlier APA editions. The primary purpose of any edition is to update the APA standards. This manual is packed with content and examples that were IMO long overdue. For instance, there are templates to show the order of data for Reference entries, and there are side-by-side examples of Reference and in-text citations. I ordered the wire-bound version because it works well in any workspace (i.e., you can easily fold the book in half or leave it wide open. The chapters are divided by tabs, with the ToC (table of contents) for that chapter printed on the tab. Compared to earlier versions, the font is smaller, but it remains highly readable. The margins are wide enough for notes. There are several downsides to the manual that I hope will be resolved in the next edition: (a) For such a large manual, the cover on the wirebound copy is both too short and relatively flimsy. It is too short because it is only the width of the pages. It does not extend over the tabs. It is too flimsy because it is the same weight as earlier and less substantial manuals. (b) There is no tab for the index. (c) Although the font in the chapters is a sufficient size, the font in the index is much smaller and the index pages are crowded; there is less room in the margins for taking notes. I dealt with the cover-related problems by cutting up a transparent binder/page sleeve for the front, back, and spine of the cover, and by creating my own tab for the index. There's nothing to be done for the index font except to live with it. You can get the gist of what I've reported here by looking at the pictures I've attached.
