‘Miss Figgy’ staat bekend om haar rijke productie van zoete, paarsblauwe vijgen die al vanaf de zomer rijp zijn. De vruchten zijn heerlijk om vers van de boom te eten, maar ook perfect om te verwerken in een salade, dessert of jam.

Standplaats en verzorging

Zet de Miss Figgy vijgenboom op een zonnige, beschutte plek. Hoe meer zon, hoe zoeter de vruchten! Gebruik bij het planten een voedzame, goed doorlatende potgrond. Snoeien is eenvoudig: houd de struik compact door in het vroege voorjaar enkele takken weg te nemen.

Tip van Boskoopse Fruitbomen

Wil je genieten van een rijke oogst? Geef de boom regelmatig water tijdens droge periodes en een beetje organische mest in het voorjaar. Zo blijft je vijgenplant ‘Miss Figgy’ sterk en productief.

Hoe ziet mijn vijgenplant er precies uit?

The dimples for half the poles were on the wrong side (double and triple checked to make sure they couldn't be spun around. The threaded ends for the wheels were freely spinning on all but 2 wheels, making it impossible to actually tighten them fully. Once it was all put together, the screens could not be folded up to neatly put it aside when not in use. All in all, this was shamefully low quality for the money spent.
