Het monteren en demonteren van de spoorverbreders is eenvoudig en neemt slechts enkele minuten in beslag.
Aangezien deze spoorverbreders (ook wel eens naafadapters genoemd) mechanisch op de schijfnaaf zijn vergrendeld, worden ze niet geclassificeerd als spoorverbreders in landen waar spoorverbreders illegaal zijn.
