Haikure werd in 2011 opgericht in Italië, vanuit het denimatelier CS Jeans dat al sinds 1981 actief is in de buurt van Perugia. De naam combineert het Japanse gedichtengenre haiku met de slotlettergrepen van de merkmantras nature, pure en future: drie woorden die de ontwerpbenadering samenvatten. Haikure maakt jeans van biologisch katoen en BCI-gecertificeerd denim, met productieprocessen die waterverbruik bij het verven minimaliseren. Elk stuk is voorzien van een QR-code die de herkomst van materialen en logopatch traceerbaar maakt.

De Blake is het kernsmodel voor mannen: een rechte broek met middelhoge taille die zijn kracht haalt uit precisie, niet uit opvallendheid. Deze editie in Pasadena Blue heeft een lichte, egale wasbehandeling die het denim een zachte, gedragen kwaliteit geeft zonder nep vintage-effecten. De constructie volgt het klassieke vijfzakkenmodel met een knoopssluiting, riemlussen en een suède logoatje achter als enig merkteken. Stof: 100% katoen. Gemaakt in Italië.

Regular fit, middelhoge taille, rechte pijp. Valt op maat, met een opening en lengte die zowel op sneakers als op loafers goed werkt.

Draag de Haikure Blake Denim in Pasadena Blue met een effen wit of ecru overhemd, een lichte sweater of een unlined jasje. De kleur is neutraal genoeg voor elke combinatie maar specifiek genoeg om niet te verdwijnen.

I like this suit. I really do. It's much better quality than I expected. Color matches what I saw on my screen. 100% worth the $70. My problem was listening to reviews. Most say fit perfect, follow their size chart. Another says their son is normally size 32 and she ordered a 38 and it fit perfect, so make sure to order 1 or 2 sizes up. My advice is go with your gut. My son is normally a size 34...I ordered a a 36 because of both their size chart and reviews. After looking at the size chart I told myself that's too big, but said no, reviews state this is perfect and it is 1 size up from what he wears. As I was ordering I was telling myself "this is going to be too big, I just know it." Guess what? I was right...and now I'm paying for these size 4XL pants to be tailored (am I stupid or is a 36 supposed to be 4xl?? I still wonder if this is my mess up). The jacket actually fit quite nicely, maybe a tad too big, but not enough to even need to tailor it. Honestly this company needs to let us pick a size for the jacket and a size for the pants, instead of it being almost a guarantee one of them will be too big.
