Het HOPE RX24 PRO 5 achterwiel is ontworpen om je mogelijkheden voor gravel en bikepacking uit te breiden. Dankzij de brede binnenvelg van 24 mm is hij geschikt voor banden met een groot volume en biedt hij meer comfort, grip en stabiliteit op gevarieerd terrein. Hij wordt geleverd met een kant-en-klare tubeless montage, met een speciale tape en aluminium tubeless ventielen die bij de naaf passen.

De HOPE PRO 5 naaf is de nieuwe standaard van het Britse merk HOPE en combineert robuustheid, prestaties en betrouwbaarheid. Ontworpen om te voldoen aan de eisen van het moderne mountainbiken, is het de opvolger van de veelgeprezen Pro 4, met een aantal verbeteringen. De Pro 5 behoudt de hoogwaardige CNC aluminium constructie die het merk zo dierbaar is, maar biedt een opnieuw ontworpen architectuur voor nog meer efficiëntie.

De belangrijkste nieuwe kenmerken zijn een sneller vrijloopmechanisme met 108 aangrijpingspunten verdeeld over 6 pallen die paarsgewijs werken. Dit zorgt voor een vrijwel onmiddellijke reactie op elke pedaalslag en biedt meer precisie en controle, met name op technische beklimmingen of bij het terugtrappen.

De hoogwaardige constructie van 6069 aluminium, gelast en daarna gestraald, garandeert een voorbeeldige stijfheid en langdurige duurzaamheid. De dubbellaagse Sapim Race-spaken en messing nippels zorgen voor extra betrouwbaarheid, zelfs onder zware belasting of in veeleisende omstandigheden. Neutraal grijze decals zorgen voor een discrete, moderne look.

De RX24 PRO 5 is geoptimaliseerd voor high-performance gravelgebruik, is compatibel met banden van 32 tot 50 mm en is uitsluitend bedoeld voor schijfremmen. Met een hoogte van slechts 23 mm combineert hij lichtheid, efficiëntie en controle voor alle avontuurlijke uitstapjes.

Not eczema skin friendly

Since I didn’t remember which sunblock spray I had previously purchased (that was super awesome), I got this one with a few other ‘kid’ sunblock spray and stick. I had grabbed this one for a splash pad birthday party this weekend only to find out it’s messy and not eczema skin friendly. Either we got a defective bottle or it’s just the way it sprays: runny goops of sunscreen that takes awhile to dry properly (see photo). And when it dries it really does stick onto your skin as advertised (aka not breathable, pore clogging, will irritate sensitive/eczema prone skin). My youngest has eczema prone skin (that’s been flare up free for 3 years) had a severe break out on her arms after using this. And even for the sake of photo demonstration for this post my own sensitive skin got red/irritated. So does it stick-yup. Is it messy? Definitely. Easy to apply? No (your kiddos have to stay put until it dries). Did it provide sun protection? Maybe…? Sensitive skin friendly? No. Eczema skin approved? Definitely not. Recommended? Nope. We threw it away and requested a refund.
