Op de wijzerplaat geeft de GPS-signaal indicator aan of het horloge verbinding maakt met het wereldwijde GPS netwerk. Ook laat het horloge zien met hoeveel satellieten het horloge verbinding maakt. Voor het bepalen van de juiste tijdzone is er verbinding nodig met minimaal 4 satellieten. Indien het horloge volledig is opgeladen maakt het horloge tot 2 keer per dag satellietverbinding met één satelliet om de tijd te corrigeren. Hierdoor is het 5X83 GPS Solar horloge extreem accuraat en kent het horloge slechts een afwijking van 1 seconde per 100,000 jaar. Indien nodig kan de lokale tijd ook handmatig worden gewijzigd. De slimme Perpetual Calendar functie zorgt ervoor dat het horloge tot het jaar 2100 altijd de juiste datum aangeeft. Het horloge beschikt over een Dual-Time, in-flight mode, een automatische DST aanpassing en het horloge beschikt over een chronograaf functie. De stopwatch kan tot 12 uren in stappen van 1/20 seconde meten. Een tussentijdsfunctie is voorzien. Een tweede tijd wordt weergegeven op de subdial op de wijzerplaat en een aparte AM/PM-indicatie. De ingebouwde horloge micro-GPS ontvanger verbruikt zó weinig energie, dat alle functies optimaal functioneren op lichtenergie, die wordt gegenereerd door de Solar wijzerplaat. Great seal and it looks nice
I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews but I LOVE this thing. It looks beautiful and the seal works really well. I had it seasoning for a few weeks and when I finally added in some cigars I waited and watched and the humidity seemed to level out about 76 which I was more than happy with in terms of effectiveness. It's a perfect size, and even though it was pretty cheap it feels sturdy and durable and I really feel like I got more than my moneys worth in it's value.
