Four 19th century French Louis XVI style gilded opera chairs with tufted seats, handcrafted in Paris, circa 1860s. Red oxidation showing through the beautiful water gilded patina that is original to the chairs. Typically used at the opera, they are diminutive in stature, yet very solid and sturdy, making them perfect for use in any room of the house as accent pieces. Featuring typical neoclassical motifs, they're supported on stop-fluted turned tapering front legs, headed by rosettes and raised on toupie feet with rear saber legs. These beautiful antique French giltwood opera chairs can be sold individually or as a set. Price is for each chair. Need to be reupholstered. Two available now.
