The wine's rich hue reflects the quality of estate-grown fruit from the Victorian Pyrenees, one of the few Australian regions capable of producing consistent and distinctive high-quality Merlot with true varietal character.

Aroma

The nose reveals enticing aromas of ripe plum and cherry that create an inviting aromatic profile. Subtle notes of five spice add complexity and intrigue, showcasing the wine's careful maturation in seasoned French oak barriques. This sophisticated bouquet speaks to the quality of select parcels from the estate vineyards and the meticulous winemaking that defines Blue Pyrenees.

Palate

On the palate, vibrant flavours of satsuma plum and raspberry combine beautifully with subtle oak spice, creating a harmonious and expressive wine. A plush, generous mid-palate provides richness and texture, whilst fine elongated tannins offer structure and depth throughout. The wine was fermented in a mix of 3-tonne open-top fermenters and 15-tonne closed fermenters, with maturation occurring in a combination of stainless steel and seasoned French oak barriques.
