Built with heavy-duty construction and fully passive electronics, the DB-MK1 is nearly indestructible—perfect for tossing into a gig bag, toolbox, or cable trunk. This direct interface functions as a Lo-Z to Hi-Z transformer for connecting electric instruments and devices to XLR microphone inputs, or as a Hi-Z to Lo-Zconverter for connecting microphones into guitar amps (though not recommended for sound quality—guitar amps make terrible PAs).

High-level signals are no issue: the –20 dB and –40 dB attenuation switches safely handle outputs from active instruments, keyboards, DJ mixers, and even speaker-level amplifier outputs when needed.

Using the DB-MK1 is simple: plug your 1/4″ output (guitar, bass, electric piano, etc.) into the input, send the XLR output to a mixer, and you’re ready to go. A Ground Lift switch is included to eliminate hum caused by ground loops—especially useful in older buildings or stages with questionable electrical wiring.
